William “Bill” Knell

William “Bill” E. Knell, 79, of Hudson, passed away at 3:22 p.m., Sunday, June 20, 2021 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Champaign, IL.

He was born June 8, 1942 in Paxton, IL to Loren and Dorothy Knell.  He married Marcella Hospelhorn on December 1, 1963 in Hudson, IL.  She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Kim (Kenny) Funk of Hudson, IL, Debbie (Bill) White of Downs, IL; one brother; two sisters; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three great-grandchildren.

Bill worked at Firestone for 34 years before retiring.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso.  A graveside service will be held the following day at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Hudson Cemetery.
