Wayne Miller, 80, of El Paso, IL passed away at 10:01 am on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 in Normal, IL and went to join his Lord.
He was born on March 15, 1936 in El Paso Township, IL a son of Fred and Hilda Weber Miller.
Surviving are one daughter, Sandy Edwards of El Paso; two sons, Richard Miller of El Paso; Steven (Cricket) Miller of Hudson; one brother, Gene (Sharon) Miller of El Paso; two sisters, Ruth Murrell and June (Ron) Arnold both of El Paso; four grandchildren, Buffy (Mike) Fleming of Gridley; Melissa and Matt Edwards of El Paso; Ryan Miller of Bloomington; and three great grandchildren, Kylie, Kenderick, and Kamden.
He joins his mom and dad, four brothers; Lyle, Buck, Don, and Dale; four sisters; Helen, Louise, Betty, and Virginia in Heaven.
Wayne worked for the City of El Paso as a Street Commissioner and retired after 47 years with them.
He was a member of Community Bible Fellowship Church. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid Cubs fan. He said he could die happy with the Cubs winning the World Series. Funeral services will be casual and everyone should wear your Cubs apparel if able.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 27, 2017 at Evergreen Cemetery in El Paso. Rev. Wes Ooms will officiate. Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso is assisting the family with arrangements.
