Wayne Johnson

DANA- Wayne H. "Schuster" Johnson, 70, of Dana, passed away at 7:35 a.m., Sunday, January 29 at his home.

He was born October 25, 1946 in Blackstone, IL to Jay and Leona (Hansen) Johnson. He married Sharon Breese on August 18, 1973 in Ancona, IL. She survives in Dana, IL.

Also surviving are five brothers and sisters; Gerald (Mary) Johnson of Fairbury, Irene (Robert) Burris of Roanoke, Ron (Jean) Johnson of Dana, Marsha (Jim) Lowery of Wentzville, MO, Karen (Brad) Hall of Chenoa; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Kenny and Ralph.

Wayne worked at Dana Grain for more than 30 years before retiring in 2000. He was a member of the Dana Fire Department for over 25 years. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and served on the Dana Village Board. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with family and friends. He touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, February 3, 2017 at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Minonk. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Dana Cemetery.
