Vickie Jo Carpenter

Vickie Jo Carpenter, 67, of Minonk passed away at 11:23 a.m. on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at OSF St James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center in Pontiac.

She was born on November 30, 1955, in Bloomington, IL a daughter of Voyatt and Marjorie Shepherd Hill. She married Richard L. Carpenter on November 17, 1978, in Bloomington, IL. He survives.

Surviving also include one daughter, Rebecca (Sabrina) Rowell of Peoria, IL; two sisters, Melissa Hill of Wisconsin; Brenda Hill; two brothers, Eric Hill of Bloomington, IL; Rick Hill of Meadows, IL; three grandchildren, Audra, Alec, Brandon; one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Sherri Persic.

Vickie worked as a CNA. She worked at Merrill Lynch in the filing department. She last worked at Enterprise for 5 years. She was a Jehovah’s Witness and loved quilting, knitting, and other crafts. She also enjoyed sightseeing in the mountains and hiking.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023, from 5-7 p.m. at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Minonk. Cremation will be accorded following the visitation. Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Minonk is handling arrangements for the family.
