VICKI SCHLIPF
El Paso - Vicki L. Schlipf, 73, of Rural El Paso, passed away at 9:20 a.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2019 surrounded by her loving family at home on Tree Lane Farms.
Vicki was born on March 22, 1946, in Peoria to the late Leland and Mary (Tjaden) Heck. She married Dale Schlipf on November 12, 1966 in Washburn,IL . He survives.
Vicki is also survived by two sons, Ryan (Sherri) Schlipf of El Paso; Jared (Jenny) Schlipf of Brimfield; four daughters Hayley (Brian) Stoller of Gridley, Heidi (Hadley) Welsch, Heather (Chris) Gentes and Holly (Chad) Hitchens all of El Paso. She was blessed to be the grandma of 19 grandkids; Bodee, Codee, Tucker & Sawyer Schlipf; Kenzie, Kaden, Colton & Caleb Schlipf; Keaton, Nash & Trig Stoller; Saylor, Creedon & Haze Welsch; Kain, Dax & Sloan Gentes; Cruz & Steele Hitchens. Two brothers; Tim (Marilyn) Heck of Germantown Hills and Tom Heck of Thailand. She was proceeded in death by her parents.
Vicki worked at Sun Ag, El Paso for 6 years and Earlybird Feed and Fertilizer, Goodfield for 22 years, retiring in 2012. She enjoyed volunteering at Gobena Coffee, Gridley and attending Bible Study Fellowship after retirement. Vicki loved spending time with family and grandkids at their lake, sporting events and livestock shows. Dale and Vicki enjoyed spending hours together on their beautiful flower beds and landscape. She will always be remembered by her genuine handwritten cards and letters. She had a heart of gold, always taking time to make others feel special and putting others before herself. She has left a legacy that exemplifies Christian love and loyalty. She has touched many lives and will be missed by many.
Vicki was a member of the Gridley Apostolic Christian Church, where funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 14th. Church ministers will officiate. Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Friday, September 13th at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the church prior to the funeral services on Saturday. Burial will be in Gridley Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Lifesong For Orphans or South Side Christian Academy.
