Terry W. Punke

El Paso- Terry W. Punke, 59, of 538 Fairway Dr. El Paso, passed
away at 3:24 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at OSF St. Francis
Medical Center, Peoria, holding his wife Danita's hand and
surrounded by all his children.


Terry adored his wife. He loved nothing more than holding her hand
and spending every free moment with her. Terry devoted himself with
his whole strength and soul to his children and grandchildren. He
was the anchor of his family, the rock that strengthened them and
the glue that kept them together. The ending of every conversation
with them was, "I love you." Terry was a selfless man who would do
anything for anyone. He proved this once again as he donated his
organs to help others. He was kind, compassionate and considerate.
He was a role model for hard work. He was employed as a warehouse
manager for United Feeds, Gridley for 24 years. He loved farming,
Eagles music, and was a Yankees fan.


Terry was born June 1, 1954 at Bloomington, IL, son of Eugene and
Marjorie Hodel Punke. He married Danita J. Wahls on October 22,
1994 in El Paso. Terry is survived by and loved from earth by his
step mother, Lorraine (Erv) Hartman, Gridley; his children, Brandon
(Sara) Punke, Normal, Brandi (Scott) Kear, Austin, TX, Travis
(Samantha) Punke, Bloomington, Scott (Courtney) Reid, El Paso,
Dylan Punke, Chenoa and Kristen (Trevor) Sinnett, Lexington; 1
brother, James (Connie) Punke, Yorkville; 3 sisters, Nancy (Chip)
Schuler, El Paso, Diana (Mike) Uphoff, El Paso, and Barbara (Randy)
Ramsey, El Paso; and 16 grandchildren and numerous nieces and
nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 step
brothers.


Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2013 at
Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, El Paso. Funeral services will be at
11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Ruestman-Harris Funeral
Home, El Paso. Rev. Bill Brown will officiate. Interment will be in
Evergreen Cemetery, El Paso. Memorial contributions in his honor
may be directed to the El Paso Emergency Squad.
