Steven A. Wagner, 76, of Macomb, MI formerly of El Paso, IL passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Troy Beaumont Hospital in Troy, MI.
He was born on July 1, 1945 in Paxton, IL a son of David and Lucille Rudin Wagner.
Survivors include one son, Kevin (Rosemary) Wagner of East Peoria, IL; one daughter, Kari Wagner (Josh Hramec) of Detroit Lakes, MN; three sisters, Judy Valentine of El Paso, IL; Celia (Doug) Harroun of El Paso, IL; Laura (Ken) Wagenbach of Kiowa, KS; one brother, Henry “Hank” (Sheree) Wagner of Sun City, AZ; six grandchildren, Matthew, Eli, Isiah, Noah, Jaycee and Kaitlyn; numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; special friends, Aleana (Dan) Wirtanen of Macomb, MI.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jeff Wagner.
Steven worked at various Caterpillar plants in the area for over 40 years.
He served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War as an Evaporator Operator.
Steven was a loving brother, father and uncle. He will be missed.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso. Pastor Mike Forbis will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Saturday. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in El Paso where military rites will be accorded at the grave. Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso is handling arrangements for the family.
