EL PASO- Steven D. Iverson, 57, of El Paso, died at 3:34 PM on Thursday December 1, 2016 at his residence in El Paso.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday December 8, 2016 at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso with Chaplain Douglas Fleischfresser officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM on Wednesday December 7, 2016 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, El Paso following services with full military rites presented.
Memorials may be given to the Steve Iverson Memorial for Special Charities.
Steve was born in Streator on August 25, 1959, the only son to Daniel and Maurine Watts Iverson. He married Tona Hunter in Ottawa on May 23, 1986.
Surviving are 2 sons, Brian "Opie" Iverson, of Roanoke, and Dustin (Chrissy) Iverson, of El Paso; 2 grandchildren, Tatum Eades and Hayden Iverson, both of El Paso; and his beloved dog , Krieger.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Steve retired in 2012 after a long career of over 31 years in the United States Army and the National Guard. He enjoyed the outdoors, his guns, and especially participating in tractor pulls.
