Ruth Rinkenberger

Gridley-Ruth C. Rinkenberger, 81, of Gridley, IL went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 28, 2016 at 1:15 am surrounded by her family at her home.
She was born on March 7, 1935 in Elgin, IA a daughter of John and Ida Fischer Pulfer. She married Lynn Rinkenberger in Elgin on June 3, 1956. He preceded her in death on April 26, 2002.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Rinkenberger and son Gary Rinkenberger both of Gridley, IL; four grandchildren, Jason (Abbie) Rinkenberger of Lexington; Crystal (Vince) Coughlin of Punta Gorda, FL; Justin Yates of Fairbury; JD Yates of Gridley; three great-grandchildren; Gatlin Rinkenberger, Rilee Coughlin, and Zachary Yates; three sisters, Helen Jacobs of Remson, IA; Norma (Bill) Butikofer of Gridley; Lois (Ken) Winter of Oelwein, IA; and one brother, Leslie (Wilma) Pulfer of Pekin, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and one brother.
Ruth worked at Meadows Mennonite Home for 30 years before retiring in June 2015. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family, including many nieces and nephews that were dear to her heart.
She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Gridley where funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, March 31, 2016. Church ministers will officiate. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 4-7 pm at the Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Burial will be in Gridley Cemetery.
