Robert J. Hock, Jr., 76, of Minonk, passed away 12:28 a.m. on Sunday, December 8, 2019, at the Apostolic Christian Home of Roanoke surrounded by his family.
He was born January 1, 1943, in Bloomington, IL, to Robert J. and Mary Oleda Nunn Hock. He married Kay Witzig on August 27, 1966, in Minonk, IL. She survives.
Also surviving is one son, Jeff Hock of Minonk, IL; one daughter, Sarah (Kevin) Holstine of Towanda, IL; two sisters, Carolyn (John) Eikenmeyer of West Lake Village, CA, and Sandy Holter of Pueblo, CO; two brothers, Jack Hock of Minonk, IL, and Ron (Debbie) Hock of Valencia, CA; and two grandsons, Raymond and Noah Holstine.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Robert served in the U.S. Navy. He worked for Hock Transfer in Minonk and later at Nussbaum Trucking and Maple Transportation. He helped local farmers in the Minonk area. He was a member of the Gridley Apostolic Christian Church and the Minonk American Legion.
Services will be held at 10 am on Friday, December 13, 2019, at the Gridley Apostolic Church with Church Ministers officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm on Thursday, December 12, 2019, at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso, IL, and at the church one hour prior to the services. Burial with Military Honors will be at Gridley Cemetery.
