Robert Barth

Minonk-Robert Michael Barth, 102, died Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 6:52 am at Heritage Manor in Minonk. He was born on May 17, 1913 in Minonk to Edward and Elizabeth Timmerman Barth. He married Roberta F. Meinhold on April 9, 1939 in Minonk. She died on June 15, 2010.

Surviving are two daughters, Jeri Sue (Randy) Johnson of Minonk; JoAnn (Robert) Fichter of Evanston; grandchildren, Brian (Veronika) Johnson of Frankfort, IL; Kimberly Johnson of Blackhawk, CO; Noah Fichter of Portland, OR; Luke Fichter (fiancé Sarah Barnett) of Union Grove, WI; great grandchildren, Anna and Drew Johnson; Cameron Fichter; and step great-grandchildren; Anna, Patrick, and Colin Jungels.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Hannah; John; Edwin; Delbert Barth; Edith Meierhofer; Evelyn Milashoski; Irma Baker; and infant sister, Marion.

Robert was a farmer; it was both his occupation as well as his hobby. He served his community as a member of the Benson School Board, Woodford County Board, St. Paul's Church Council, and the Woodford Farm Bureau.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Minonk. Rev. Ed Sinclair will officiate. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 5-7 pm at the Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Minonk. Burial will be in Minonk Township Cemetery.
