El Paso-Ray D. Duncan, 82, of El Paso, passed away at 10:30 a.m., Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.
He was born August 16, 1931 to Russell and Virginia (Sherer) Duncan. He married Velda Quiram on February 18, 1951 in Benson. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Craig (Sharon) Duncan of Secor, Randy (Norma Stumbo) Duncan of Normal; one brother, Roy (Lois) Duncan of Naples, FL; two sisters, Sue (Gary) Volk and Ernie Dale (Ed) Monahan both of Normal; 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant sister Ruth Elizabeth Duncan.
Ray was a farmer his entire life. After retiring from the farm, he worked for Sun Ag. Fertilizer.
Ray was also a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church for 60 years.
Ray's wishes were to be cremated with a private family service and burial of his ashes in Evergreen Cemetery. Services will be at a later date. Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to El Paso Rescue Squad, St Paul's Lutheran Church in Benson or the charity of the donor's choice.
