Patricia J. Blue, of El Paso, passed away Friday (March 22, 2019) at 9:25 P.M. at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
She was born March 12, 1954, in El Paso, to Laurence "Bud" and Viola Scott Hinthorne. She married Jim Greene on August 10, 1972. She later married Dale Blue on May 7, 1998. He died December 6, 2016.
She is survived by her mother, Viola, Roanoke; one son, Jason (Gina) Greene of Eureka; one daughter, Jaime (Corey) Ruestman of Minonk; six grandchildren, Keaton, Morgan and McKenzie Greene; Haley, Reagan and Ella Ruestman, two brothers, Harry (Debbie) Hinthorne, Bloomington; Jeff (Diane) Hinthorne, El Paso; two sisters, Ruth Rutledge, Roanoke; Janet
(Randy) Pomeranke, Roanoke; and one sister-in-law, Karlene Hinthorne, Fort Gaines, Ga. and three amazingly loyal and loving friends, Di Ioerger, Amy Turner and Peggy McBride. Pat also loved her many nieces and nephews very much.
She was preceded in death by her father, Laurence "Bud" Hinthorne ; two
brothers, Jim Hinthorne and John Hinthorne; two brothers-in-law, Larry Rutledge and Rich Knepp; and two nephews, Scott Hinthorne and Tony Hinthorne.
Pat along with her late husband Dale were owners/operators of the El Paso Antique Mall for many years.
Visitation will be on Wednesday March 27, 2019 from 4 to 6 at Ruestman Harris Funeral Home, El Paso with a celebration of life service at 6:00 p.m. Pastor Dave Steinbeck will officiate. Private family interment will be in Hinthorn Cemetery, Lake Bloomington. Memorial contributions in her honor may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Eureka to Peoria run.
Pat loved being a Hinthorne and was extremely proud of her family. She was unapologetically loyal, increasingly more stubborn, had a tough exterior but a gentle heart and was a helluva lot of
fun. You always knew where you stood with Pat. Her greatest joy in life was bragging about her kids and grandkids.
Like everyone else in this world, Pat was not perfect, but she fought hard to the end and joyfully welcomed the Lord into her heart.
