GRIDLEY, IL- Pamela Ruth Alvey, 49, of Gridley, passed away at 9:26 PM on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at her residence surrounded by family.
Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Tuesday, December 27, immediately followed by a Celebration of Life at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso, IL. Chaplain Ron Little will officiate. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or to Advocate Bromenn Medical Center.
Pam was born in Carmi, IL on August 14, 1967, a daughter to Donald Duvall and Sylvia Brooks. She married Brian Alvey on April 25, 1987 in Gridley. He survives.
Also surviving are her daughters, Crystal (Josh) Roy, Wapella, IL, Ashley (Shane) Niedzwecki, Janesville, WI, Sarah Alvey (Jake Maffett), Gridley, IL; granddaughter, Cheyenne Roy; her mother, Sylvia Brooks, Carmi, IL; sisters, Sunny DiLando, AZ, Nancy (Donnie) James, Carmi, IL, Lynn (Kenny) Eggers, OH, Barb O'Gilvie, Carmi, IL, Bonnie Harford, IN; brother, Donald (Bridgett) Duvall, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
Pam was preceded in death by her father; and sister, Debra Duvall.
She was employed for 29 years at Mitsubishi Motors, Normal, IL.
Pam enjoyed bowling, playing cards, darts and pool, doing puzzles, and was an avid reader. She enjoyed going to NASCAR races with her husband, Brian, as well as Chicago Cubs, Bulls and Bears games. She cherished spending time with her family and granddaughter, Cheyenne. Pam will forever be Brian's soulmate and will always be loved and dearly missed. God has welcomed her to Heaven where she is now a guardian angel looking over her family and loved ones.
Her family would like to extend a great deal of gratitude to the staff, nurses, and doctors at Advocate Bromenn Medical Center for the excellent care given to Pam and her family.
