Nadine Ringger

Chenoa- Nadine Ringger, 84, of Chenoa, IL passed away at 4:38 pm on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Meadows Mennonite Home.

She was born on September 3, 1931 in McDowell, IL a daughter of Justin and Ethel Garland Knopp. She married Raymond B. Ringger on October 30, 1948 in Huntington, IN. He survives.

Also surviving are her children, Sandra (Tom) Neu of Naperville, IL; Carol (Byron) Stoller of Gridley, IL; Richard (Marla) Ringger of Indianapolis, IN; Marianne (John) Phelps of Woodstock, GA; Joy Ringger of Chicago, IL; one sister, Phyllis Messamore of Colfax, IL; ten grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, and two sisters.

Nadine had worked as a registered nurse in Pontiac and Bloomington. She had the gift to make anyone who met her feel loved. Her grandchildren talk of her unconditional love and her ability to always make them feel special. She loved her Lord with all her heart and served him well until the end.

She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Nadine was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Bloomington where her funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, February 10, 2016. Church ministers will officiate. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 4-7 pm at the Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso and from 9-9:45 am on Wednesday at the church before the service. Burial will be in Gridley Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to Advocate Hospice or Meadows Mennonite Home in Chenoa. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.ruestmanharrisfuneralhome.com.
