Michael R. Upts

Michael R. Upts, 62, of Minonk, died on Wednesday morning, January 25, 2023 at his home.

He was born on June 10, 1960 in Pontiac, IL, to the late Ronald G. and Carol J. Harms Upts, who survives. He married Bonita Schott on March 6, 2004. She survives.

Also surviving are his son, Cody (Tiffany Kuebler) Upts of Bloomington; stepdaughter, Tara (Jarrod) Massie of Dickson, TN; stepdaughter, Misty (John) Hartley of Pontiac; four grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Clifford Schott of Pontiac and Robert Schott of Cornell, IL; sisters-in-law, Robin (Dennis) Westerhold and Marsha Cummins, both of Streator, IL. Michael was a loving uncle to many.

Michael worked as the head custodian at Roanoke-Benson High School and later joined his father working the family farm in the Minonk area. He had a passion for bowling and loved hanging out with his friends.

Cremation will be accorded. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Monday, January 30 from 4-7 p.m. at the Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Minonk.
