Merle Pinkham

Washington-Merle Gene Pinkham, 87 of Washington, formerly of El Paso, passed away at 6:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at his home.
He was born September 23, 1930 in Panola, IL to William and Ethel (Punke) Pinkham. He married Erma Jean Selle on May 20, 1956 in Minonk, IL. She survives.
Also surviving is one daughter Lori (Mark) Johnson of Eureka, IL; one brother Herbert Pinkham of Minonk; and one granddaughter Molly Johnson of Eureka.
He was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.
Merle was a carpenter working for several construction companies in the area. He worked for Petri, Del Construction and Hoerr Construction before retiring.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m., Friday, July 6, 2018 at Minonk Township Cemetery. Pastor Kenneth L. Harris will officiate. There will be no formal visitation. Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Minonk is assisting the family with arrangements.
Memorials may be made to OSF Hospice or St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Minonk.
