Mary Lou Thompson, 80, of Secor, passed away at 10:40 p.m., Friday, June 17, 2016 at Advocate Eureka Hospital.
She was born January 11, 1936 in Colfax to Hugh and Oma (Vance) McGuire. She married David L. Thompson on September 6, 1965 in Secor. He survives.
Also surviving is her son, Dan (Dorita) Thompson of El Paso; three grandchildren Michael (Carrie) Thompson of El Paso; Brian (Heather Jo) Thompson of Kappa; Heather (Adam) Reel of Roanoke; and 9 great-grandchildren, Megan, Kyle, Makayla, Madison, Mason, Rachel, Preston, Emmalee and Patton.
She was preceded in death by one brother.
Mary Lou worked in the food service industry all her life with the last 28 years of her career at Eureka College. She was a member of Secor United Methodist Church.
A graveside service for Mary Lou will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Secor Cemetery. Rev. Charlie Graul will officiate. Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Secor United Methodist Church.
