Marianne Fewell, 84, of Minonk went to her heavenly home at 6:51 a.m. on Thursday, July 13, 2017 in Bloomington, IL.
She was born on June 26, 1933, a daughter of Jerry and Mary McGough. She married Don Fewell on August 4, 1956 in Rutland, IL. He passed away on July 14, 1995. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving is one daughter, Cathy Weese of Minonk; one brother, John (Gloria) McGough of Rutland; one sister, Judy (Bruce) vonNordheim of Benson; and several nieces and nephews.
Marianne owned and operated Merry Dawn Kennel with her husband for 35 years from 1960 to 1995. She loved and found joy in all animals. She especially loved horses. She rode from childhood until well into her 70's. She enjoyed trail riding. She and Don would travel to Missouri several times a year to attend the Big Piney Trail Ride. They met up with many friends and enjoyed camping and their horses.
Marianne spent the last 10 winters at Good Life RV Resort in Mesa, Arizona. She has many friends that are like family to her that will miss her. She was a people person and made friends where ever she went. Loved life and enjoyed being with her friends. Line dancing was another passion of hers. She has many friends from her line dancing family that will miss her on the dance floor.
Marianne was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Minonk where a funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 10:30 am. Franciscan Friars will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 4-7 pm at the Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Minonk and one-half hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Minonk.
