Maria Wiegand

Maria Ruth Wiegand, 9, of Secor passed away at 1:08 pm on Monday, January 23, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.

She was born on April 15, 2007 in Peoria a daughter of Jake and T. Anne Rudin Wiegand. She attended fourth grade at the Countryside Private School in rural Eureka.

Maria is survived by her parents of Secor; five sisters, Anna, Emma, Sara, Ella, Amelia; three brothers, William, Abram, and Linus all at home; paternal grandparents, Dale and Friedora Wiegand of Eureka; maternal grandparents, Craig and Trudy Rudin of Chatsworth; maternal great-grandmother, Mildred Zimmerman of Forrest; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Maria's sparkling eyes and contagious smile could light up the room. She showed much love of life with care and concern for her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, January 27, 2017 at the Apostolic Christian Faith Church in Eureka. Church ministers will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm on Thursday at the Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso and from 9-9:45 am at the church before the service. Burial will be in the Apostolic Christian Faith Cemetery in Eureka.
