Roanoke- Margaret Hasler, 101, of Roanoke, IL passed away at 9:00
am on Friday, August 23, 2013 at the Apostolic Christian Home in
Roanoke,
IL.


She was born on April 18, 1912 in Roanoke, IL a daughter of Joe Q.
and Mary Madala Monge.  She married Andrew Hasler on September
6, 1933 in Keokuk, IA.  He passed away on December 17,
1985.


Surviving are one daughter, Marlene (Harley) Aeschleman of
Roanoke, IL; one son, Jerry (Sharon) Hasler of Roanoke, IL; five
grandchildren, Julie (Cyrus) Radmanesh of Plano, TX; Jeffrey
(Brenda) Koppes of Cedar Rapids, IA; Janan (Tom) Twohill of
Fairfield, IA; Curtis (Mary) Hasler of South Bend, IN; Kyle
(Margie) Hasler of Monooka, IL; and nine great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Tino and
Ben Monge; and one sister, Lucy
Monge.


Margaret had a very giving heart and was always willing to help
others.  She loved having friends over for coffee and
especially enjoyed her ladies time.  She had a soft spot in
her heart for children of all ages.  She enjoyed when they
would stop by and she could give them treats.  She would
always light up at the sight of a young baby. She will be greatly
missed by all who knew and loved her.


Margaret was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Roanoke
where her funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday,
August 26, 2013.  Fr. Neri Greskoviak will officiate.
Visitation will be held on Sunday afternoon from 1-3 at the
Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home in Roanoke and for one hour prior
to the service at the church.  Burial will be in Roanoke
Township Cemetery.


Memorial contributions may be made to the Apostolic Christian Home
in Roanoke.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at
