Mabel M. Kettwich, 94, of Minonk, IL passed away at 4:03 pm on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital in Streator, IL.
She was born on August 26, 1920 in Benson, IL a daughter of Edward and Sena Sloter Warnkes. She married Alfred T. Kettwich on July 9, 1939 in Benson. He passed away on May 25, 2007.
Surviving are two children, Beverly (Arlen) Ruestman of Toluca, IL; Brad (Tina) Kettwich of Eureka, IL; twelve grandchildren, Brenda (Norbert) Wacker; Ken (Jocelyn) Kettwich; Laura Miller; Kelly Adolphson; Greg (Ashley) Ruestman; Paul Kettwich; Richard (Kristin) Kettwich; Bruce Kettwich; Robert Kettwich; Shawna Debolt; Nichole Whirrell; J.D. Whirrell; thirteen great-grandchildren, and eight great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Glenn and Everett; one brother, and one sister.
Mabel had worked in the housekeeping department at Maple Lawn Health Center.
She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Minonk, Woodford County Home Extension, and Bowling Green Community Club.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ. Rev. Ed Sinclair will officiate. Visitation will be held on Saturday evening from 4-6 p.m. at the Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Minonk and one hour before services on Sunday at the church. Burial will be in the Minonk Township Cemetery.
