Lucille M. Romersberger, 96, of Gridley, passed gently to eternity at her residence on April 28, 2023 . Lucille was born April 20, 1927, at Gridley, a daughter of Raymond and Lydia Bruellman Kuntz. She married Billy E. Romersberger on April 27, 1947 at Gridley. He died May 17, 2017.
She was employed as an underwriter for Country Casualty Insurance and later as a CNA at Meadows Mennonite Retirement Home. She also served as a cook at the Gridley Grade School.
Survivors include her son, Ronald (Gail) Romersberger, Gridley; two daughters, Debra (Dr. Gerardo) Grieco, Bloomington, and Denise Romersberger, East Peoria; a daughter-in-law, Ardean Stoller, Gridley; a brother, Ralph (Marge) Kuntz of Gridley; 12 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, with whom she shared 70 years of marriage; a son, Robert; a grandson, Jeffrey; one brother; and two sisters.
She was a member of Gridley Apostolic Christian Church where funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. Ministers of the Church will officiate. Services will be livestreamed at www.gridleyacchurch.org/videos.
Visitation will be on Monday from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Ruestman Harris Funeral Home, El Paso, and also one hour prior to Services at the Church on Tuesday. Burial will be in Gridley Cemetery.
Throughout her life, Lucille’s focus was her family. She hosted many family celebrations and family meals. She also loved to host others for potluck meals. The foundation of her love for others was her love for Jesus Christ, her Savior. Her Church family was an important part of her life.
