Larry Kilpatrick

Larry Kilpatrick, 70, of Sullivan, IL; formerly of El Paso, passed away at 08:35 a.m., Saturday January 13, 2018 at Carle Hospital in Urbana, IL.
He was born May 14, 1947 to the late William and LaVerne (Garrels) Kilpatrick. He married Marcella Aylward on March 28, 1970. She preceded him in death on November 23, 1981. Larry later married Rita Bradshaw Gubitz on July 14, 1984 in Gridley, IL. She preceded him in death on May 23, 2017 in Williamsport, IN.
Larry was also preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin and Ronnie Kilpatrick.
Surviving are two sons; William "Bill" (Tamara) Kilpatrick of Farmer City, IL; Troy (Karla) Kilpatrick of Sullivan, IL; one daughter; Stacey (Paige) Galloway of Covington, IN; two brothers; Michael (Shirley) Kilpatrick of Bloomington, IL; Donald (Janeen) Kilpatrick of Fairbury, IL; two sisters, Karen Switzer of Jefferson City, MO; Sharon Rhodes of Bloomington, IL; two sister- in-laws, Sara Kilpatrick of El Paso, IL; Elizabeth Kessinger of Colfax, IL; eleven grandkids and three great-grandkids.
Larry proudly served in the US Army during Vietnam. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and raising rabbits.
Larry worked at Hart-Carter in Gridley followed by 30 years at Caterpillar Tractor Company East Peoria retiring from there in 2002.
A funeral service will be held at 11am on Saturday January 20, 2018 at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso, IL. There will be a visitation held one hour prior to the service. Burial with military rites will be in Evergreen Cemetery in El Paso, IL.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the El Paso Emergency Squad.
