Larry LaVerne Ellis

Larry LaVerne Ellis, 81, of Gridley, formerly of Canton, passed away at 11:44 p.m. on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at his residence.

He was born on June 9, 1941 in Canton, IL a son of Arnold and Marilyn Blakesmith Ellis. He married Carol Steward on October 3, 1959 in Normal, IL. She survives.

Survivors also include two daughters, Linda (Alan) Friedman of Holiday, FL; Becky (Scott) Ringger of Westfield, IN; one son, Dennis (Kathy) Ellis of Gridley; one sister, Sharon Pollitt of Little America; eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Carol Pagen; and one brother, Johnny Lee Ellis.

Larry worked for the Hart-Carter Company retiring in 2001. He enjoyed woodworking as a hobby.
