GOODFIELD ~ Karen Sue Livengood, 69, of Goodfield, passed away at 3:14 p.m. Sunday, May 13, 2018 at her home.
Born July 19, 1948 in Peoria to Edward L. and Ruth B. (Bruhn) Schaffer. She married Ronald Livengood, they later divorced. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving are two daughters, Bethany (Charles) Lazzara of Plainfield and Karie (Christopher) Wheadon of Copperas Cove, TX; three granddaughters, Kelsey, Alisia and Lilly; her life partner, Diana Ioerger; one brother, Terry (Carol) Schaffer of West Peoria and one sister, Cheryl Schaffer of Sarasota, FL.
Karen had worked as an accountant for many years, last working for Wingfoot Commercial Tire in East Peoria, retiring in 2011.
She enjoyed gardening, fishing, spending time outdoors and restoring furniture. Karen cherished spending time with her granddaughters.
A service celebrating Karen's life will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 18, 2018 at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso. Cremation has been accorded.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Illinois CancerCare, 8940 N. Wood Sage Rd., Peoria, IL 61615-7822.
