Juanita D. Tiller, 81, of El Paso, IL, passed away at 7:15 p.m., Sunday December 18, 2016 at Heritage Health of El Paso.
She was born November 27, 1935 in Peoria, IL to Raymond and Evelyn (Simmons) Phillips. She married Fred Tiller on July 15, 1954 in East Peoria. He died on March 7, 2003 in Carlock.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, and four sisters, Madonna, Sharon, Nancy and Barbara.
Surviving are her children; Linda (Jim) Reel of El Paso, Bonnie (Jeff) Price of El Paso, Iva Punke and Kevin Armstrong of Eureka, Greg Tiller of El Paso; two brothers Alfred (Brenda) Phillips of Morton, Richard (Connie) Phillips of Washington; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren on the way.
Juanita was a member of First Baptist Church in El Paso. She worked as a nurse's aide and patient caregiver for most of her life last working at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal. She was always helping others and tending to the less fortunate. She was a very caring and giving person who loved birds, being outdoors and cooking. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She cherished the time she spent with her sisters, children, and grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso. Pastor Tim Smith will officiate. Visitation will be two hours prior to services at the funeral home from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday. Cremation will be accorded. Burial of her cremains will be in Funks Grove Cemetery at a later date.
