John Slepetis

John J. Slepetis, 71, of Dana, IL passed away at 5:39 p.m. on Wednesday January 6, 2021 at OSF St. James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center in Pontiac.
He was born on June 25, 1949 in Chicago, IL a son of John J. and Lillian Sedlak Slepetis. He married Marybeth Gallagher on June 13, 1970 in Chicago, IL. She passed away on June 28, 2009.
Survivors include daughter, Joan (Christopher) Burcar of Dana; two grandchildren, Riley and Ryan Burcar.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
John served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Graveside services will be held at 1p.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Streator where military rites will be accorded at the grave. Pastor Jay Hurd will officiate. Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Minonk will handle the arrangements for the family.
