James P. Stalter
Eureka-James "Jim" P. Stalter, 79, of Eureka, IL passed
away at 2:52a.m. on Friday, November 29, 2013 at Advocate Eureka
Hospital.
Jim was born on May 29, 1934 in Eureka, Il to Lee and Ruth
Neuhauser Stalter. He married Alta Hochstedler on May 9, 1954
at Howard-Miami Mennonite Church in Kokomo, IN.
He is survived by his wife, three sons, Stanley(Lori)
Stalter of Reading, PA; Kenneth(Kathy) Stalter of Phoenixville, PA;
Keith Stalter of Eureka, IL; four grandchilren, Kara Stalter of
Reading, PA; Jeremy Stalter of Reading, PA; Nicholas Stalter of
Phoenixville, PA; Laura Stalter of Phoenixville, PA; one brother,
Ronald Stalter of Lititz, PA; eight nieces and nephews, Sarah
(Tomas) Reyes of Plano, TX; Priscilla(Wilfredo) Mendez of
Gordonville, PA; Jeff Stalter of Ephrata, PA; Katie Stalter of
Ephrata, PA; Betty Umble of New Holland, PA; R. Lee Stalter of
Ephrata, PA; Brenda Stalter of Eureka, IL;
Terry(Christal)of Goodfield, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents one grandchild, Erin
Stalter and one brother, John Stalter
Jim grew up on a farm and lived his entire life in the Eureka
area, later retiring from Caterpillar after 25 years of
service.
Jim was a member of Living Faith Fellowship Church.
Jim was a loving husband and father and will be missed by all
who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 2,
2013 at Maple Lawn Memorial Hall. Pastor Brett Woerner will
officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the
service at Memorial Hall. Burial will be in Roanoke Mennonite
Cemetery. Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka is in charge
of arrangements.
