El Paso- Jacob A. Colmone, 22, of El Paso, IL passed away at 4:30 pm on Monday, July 20, 2015 as the result of a car accident.
He was born on February 4, 1993 in Normal, IL a son of Kenneth and Anita Colmone. He is survived by his parents of El Paso; one brother Kyle Colmone at home; paternal grandparents Frank and Barb Colmone of Spring Valley, IL; maternal grandparents John and Rose Brown of Laporte, IN; one aunt Sandi (Brian) Ray of Zionsville, IN; two uncles Larry (Dana) Brown of Algonquin, IL; Doug(Teresa) Colmone of Spring Valley, IL and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his great grandparents and one uncle, Greg Colmone.
Jake was a 2011 graduate of El Paso-Gridley High School where he was active in Basketball, Baseball, and Golf. He was employed by Schlipf Farms and attended Lakeland College.
He was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and the St. Louis Cardinals. He was a friend to many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where his funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 24, 2015. Fr. Don Rozkowski will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm on Thursday evening at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso. Burial will be in Valley Memorial Park in Spring Valley, Illinois at 3:00 pm.
