Israel Joaquin

Normal- Israel
Joaquin, 16, of Normal passed away on Monday, June 10, 2013 at his
residence at 7:31 pm.

Mass of Christian burial will be
held on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 10 am at St. Mary's Catholic
Church in Bloomington with Fr. Gregg Petri O.F.M. officiating.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 14, 2013 from 4-7 pm at
Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington with a prayer
service being held at 7 pm and also one hour prior to the services
at church on Saturday.

Interment will be at St. Joseph's
Catholic Cemetery in Bloomington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may
be directed to the family in Israel's name.

Israel was born on September 15,
1996 in Bloomington a son of Alberto Joaquin-Mendez and the late
Procora Estrada .

Surviving are his father, Alberto
(step-mother Maria Martinez) Joaquin of Normal; two sisters,
Analeida Joaquin of Wisconsin and Brenda Joaquin of Mexico; a
brother, Armando Joaquin of Mexico; Maternal grandparents, Antonio
Estrada and  Irinea Avila both of Mexico; three uncles, Felix
(Maria Luisa Lopez) Estrada of Wisconsin, Jose(Ana) Joaquin, and
Fortunato (Criselda) Joaquin both of Bloomington. Also surviving
are various cousins and friends.

In addition to his mother, Israel
was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Cristobal
Joaquin and Adalberta Mendez.

Israel attended Normal Community
High School in Normal and had just finished his sophomore year
there of school. His teachers loved working with him and will miss
him greatly.

He loved to play soccer and enjoyed
riding his bike. Israel was happy when he was singing and dancing,
he played the guitar, drums, and keyboard. He also enjoyed watching
Mexican television especially, "El Chavo".

Israel was loved and will be deeply
missed by his family and friends. His Uncle Fortunato and Aunt
Criselda loved him as their own son.
