Herbert R. Gramm
Gridley- Herbert R. Gramm, 86, of Gridley, IL passed away at 4:05 am on Monday, November 3, 2014 at the Apostolic Christian Home in Eureka where he was a resident.
He was born on November 1, 1928 in Gridley a son of George and Louise Grusy Gramm. He married Jane Ellenberger, the love of his life on November 6, 1949 in Gridley. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, Mike (Rosemary) Gramm of Gridley; Jim (Kathy) Gramm of Lafayette, IN; Kathy (Curt) Rassi of Tremont; Karen (Donn) Steffen of Paulding, OH; Connie (Chip) Saunders of Naples, FL; Jeanne (Troy) Schnabel of Kalamazoo, MI; two brothers, Harold (Ila) Gramm of Morris, MN; Don (Rosie) Gramm of Gridley, IL; one sister, Marjorie (Elmer) Witzig of Gridley; twenty-four grandchildren, and fifty-one great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Mildred; and one brother, Bob.
Herbert was a dairy farmer in the Gridley area all of his life. He was a member of the Gridley Apostolic Christian Church where he was a prayer warrior and peacemaker.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at the Gridley Apostolic Christian Church. Church ministers will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4-7 pm at the Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso and from 9-9:45 am on Thursday at the church before services. Burial will be in Gridley Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Eureka Apostolic Christian Home.
