Helen A. Myers, 84, of Pontiac, formerly of El Paso, passed away at 9:20 p.m., Monday, June 5, 2017 at Evenglow Lodge in Pontiac.
She was born November 6, 1932 in Green Township, El Paso, IL to Louis and Marie (Volz) Kapraun. She married Jim Myers on August 3, 1973. He died in 1982. She was also preceded in death by three brothers; Louis, Joseph and Andrew and one sister; Genevieve Reeves.
Surviving are one brother, Robert (Elaine) Kapraun of El Paso, IL; eight nieces and nephews and 19 great nieces and nephews.
Helen was an inspector for Roper Company and later a waitress in the El Paso area. She was a member of the Legion Auxiliary.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 9, 2017 at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso with Fr. John Steffen officiating. Visitation will be from 9-11 prior to the services on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Evenglow Lodge Activity Fund.
