Harry Eldon Hinthorne, 83, of El Paso, IL passed away at 1:10 p.m. on Sunday February 2, 2020 at the Heritage Health Nursing Home in El Paso.
Harry was born on February 16, 1936 in El Paso, IL a son of Roy and Bessie Farrell Hinthorne.
Survivors include his loving companion, Monica Tabor; sons, Frank Hinthorne, Michael Hinthorne his partner Dana Russell; Raymond Hinthorne, Keith (Karen) Hinthorne; daughter, Linda (Sidney) Belford; brother, Leeland Hinthorne; sister, Judy; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Marita, Dorothy; brothers, Lawrence and Leonard Hinthorne, daughter, Kim Hinthorne and granddaughter, Amanda Benge.
Harry worked at Caterpillar, Inc where he retired from after many years of service to the company.
He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict as a Staff Sergeant.
Harry was a lifetime member of the VFW in El Paso and also the AMVETS.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso. Chaplain Tim Mitchell will officiate. Visitation will be held prior to funeral services on Saturday from 9-11:15 a.m at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Hinthorn Cemetery where military rites will be accorded at the grave. Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso is handling arrangements for the family.
