EL PASO- Gerald W. Mohr, 84, of El Paso, passed away at 11:13 AM on Sunday May 20, 2018 at his residence.
Cremation rites have been accorded and hiscelebration of life will be at a later date. Memorials may be designated to the family. Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso is assisting the family with arrangements.
Gerald was born in Peoria on January 3, 1934, a son to Lawrence and Wilma Mohr. He married Ann P. Sweeney On July 17, 1955. She preceded him in death in 2013.
Surviving are his children, Terry Modlin, Utah, Linda (Gerald) Stine, Secor, Nancy Tomlinson, Fairfield, Cheryl (Greg) Sexton, Waynesville, Susan Mohr, Normal, Gary "Ernie" Mohr, Roanoke; 25 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and brothers, Richard (Mary) Mohr, and Wayne (Evalyn) Mohr, both of East Peoria.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Gerald W. Mohr Jr.; and his brother, Denny Mohr.
Gerald served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked for the Pantagraph and retired after 18 years. He also enjoyed to camp and fish as well as tending to his garden.
