Gary "Ernie" A. Mohr

Gary A. “Ernie” Mohr, 58, died December 31, 2022, at his home.

Ernie was born October 22, 1964 in Peoria to Gerald William “Jerry”, Sr. and Ann Pricilla Sweeney Mohr.

Survivors include his four children, Nicolle (Zach) Wey, Lucas “Luke” Mohr, Louise Mohr, Gary Mohr; two granddaughters; one grandson; five sisters, Terry Modlin of El Paso, Linda (Jerry) Stine of Secor, Nancy Tomlinson (Bill Bruce) of Fairfield, Cheryl (Greg) Sexton of Waynesville, IL, Sue Mohr of Bloomington; many nieces and nephews; and lots of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Gerald William “Billy” Mohr, Jr.

Ernie worked as a farm hand for a time before having to stop for health reasons. He loved hanging out with his friends, warm weather and camping. Even when he tried to be serious, it was still hard to hold a straight face and not burst out into laughter!!! Ernie had a way of leaving one hell of an impression on anyone & everyone he met. He could be a total hell raiser but he was definitely one to give you the shirt off of his back. He would do what he could to help any of his friends & family.

No services will be held at this time. A Celebration of Life is planned for later this year. Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home of El Paso is assisting family.
