EL Paso- Evelyn L. Montgomery, 87, of El Paso, passed away at 1:15 PM on Friday March 18, 2016 at Heritage Health Care Center in El Paso.
She was born in Metamora on September 20, 1928, a daughter to Homer and Olga Allen Bridges.
Surviving are her children, Cheryl Hinthorne, Perry FL, Donny Brunson, Minonk, Susan ( Randy ) Buehler, Kimberly, WI; 9 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Helen Breach, El Paso, Dorothy Brunson, Lafayette, IN; and a brother, Larry Bridges, Eureka.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Tim Kieswetter; and a brother, Corky Bridges.
Evelyn worked as principle clerk at City Hall in El Paso for many years. She also enjoyed sewing as her past time.
Memorial service will be on Tuesday March 22, 2016 at 6 PM at Grace Fellowship Church in El Paso with Rev. Josh Gates officiating. Visitation will be from 5-6 PM on Tuesday at the church.
Cremation has been accorded and inurnment will be in Secor Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Grace Fellowship Church in El Paso. Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home is assisting the family with local arrangements.
