Emma Hostetler
Roanoke - Emma M. Hostetler, 87, of Roanoke, passed away at
10:42 am on Tuesday February 4, 2014 at the Apostolic Christian
Home of Roanoke where she was a resident.
She was born on January 18, 1927 in Shelbyville, IL to Ira and
Velma Ulrich Hostetler.
Surviving is one sister, Lela Stewart of Roanoke; 3 brothers,
Roy (Ruth) Hostetler of Roanoke; Ray (Joanne) Hostetler of Eureka;
Ken Hostetler of Indianapolis, IN; one sister-in-law, Arzelea
Hostetler of Albany, OR and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and
great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Milton
and Lawrence Hostetler, one sister, Betty Hostetler; one
brother-in-law, Melvin Stewart; one nephew, John Stewart; and two
great nephews, Jeremy Hostetler and Howard Kennell.
Emma was a Nanny working for Kristi Brown and her family in Mt.
Zion, IL.
She was a member of the Mennonite church in Shelbyville, IL.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday February
6, 2014 at the Linn Mennonite Church in Roanoke. Steve Ulrich will
officiate. Visitation will be held from 10:30-11:00 am on Thursday
before the service. Burial will take place before the services on
Thursday at the Roanoke Mennonite Cemetery. Knapp-Johnson-Harris
Funeral Home in Roanoke is assisting the family with
arrangements.
