Curt Walters

Minonk - Curt M. Walters, 36, of Minonk, passed away at 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at his residence.

His Celebration of Life will be at 12:00 p.m. noon on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Venue 27/Topsey's in El Paso. Private family services will be at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso with Rev. Andy Huette officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Inurnment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in El Paso. Memorials may be made to Illinois Agricultural Foundation or El Paso Fire Department.

Curt was born on February 6, 1981 in Normal, Illinois, a son to Floyd and Marcia Lange Walters. He married Julie L. Barth on October 21, 2006 in Minonk.

Surviving is his wife, Julie Walters and his ‘kids', two yellow labs, Benelli and Bella, all of Minonk; parents, Floyd and Marcia Walters; mother and father in-law, Lynn and Peggy Barth; brother in-law, Randy (Mandi) Barth, all of El Paso; three nieces, Paige, Darien and Chloe.

He was preceded in death by one brother, David L. and maternal and paternal grandparents.

Curt was employed at Pfister Hybrid Co. and later, Barth Farms and also was employed part time for IDOT.

He was a member of Secor Sportsman's Club and Woodford County Farm Bureau.

Curt didn't know a stranger, always had a joke and a quick comeback. He took life at full speed, loved to work with his hands, doing things outdoors, running the grain vac and anything ag related.
Curt enjoyed shooting, hunting and dearly loved spending time with his nieces and the men in their lives, his wife and cousin, Lauren.
