Clifford Alan Vance, 60, of Dana, IL passed away at 1:50 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.
He was born on September 19, 1960 in Charleston, West Virginia a son of Cecil E. and Carol Lipscomb Vance. He married JoAnna Harrold on December 8, 2006 in Ottawa, IL. She survives.
Survivors also include his children, Justin (Anna) Lutz of Indiana; Cecelia Vance of Champaign; Elizabeth (Brennen) Jibben of Pontiac; Dalton Albright of Cuba; two brothers, Tom (Reggie) Vance of Streator;
Duane (Kim) Vance of El Paso; three sisters, Pat (Audie) Lynch of Lizemores, WV; Linda (Terry) Moore of Pontiac; Amanda Vance of Amboy, IL; six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and one brother, Philip Gary Vance.
Clifford worked for Waste Management as a Sanitation Engineer for 19 years.
He was a volunteer firefighter with the fire department in Dana. He was on the Dana Village Board. He loved fishing, hunting, playing Santa, and spending time with family, friends, and especially his grandchildren. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
Cremation will be accorded. No services to be held per Clifford’s wishes. Celebration of Life will be held on July 31 from 11-3 at the Dana Fire house. Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Minonk is handling
arrangements for the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
