Catherine Rose Cowan, 58, of El Paso, formerly of Minonk, passed away at 1:05 p.m., Friday, September 7, 2018 at her residence.
She was born January 12, 1960 in Marshfield, MA to Robert E. Sr. and Augusta (Reynolds) Shuford. She found the love of her life, Larry Tasker, while in North Carolina in 1990. He passed away on October 5, 2017. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter Crystal Rose Shuford and two brothers Robert Jr. and Stephen Shuford.
Surviving is one son Zach Tasker of Indianapolis, IN; three sisters Cindy Dotson and Susan Shuford of Asheville, NC, Ellen Marinoni of Marshfield, MA; one brother Mark Shuford of Asheville, NC; and two nieces Ashley and Amanda Dotson of Asheville, NC.
Catherine enjoyed living in El Paso and Minonk. She loved the peaceful and quiet small town community. She was a devout Christian and loved to read the Bible. She always put others needs before her own and she had a love for all animals, but family was most important to her.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Minonk. Pastor Scott Mool will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Tuesday. Burial will be in Minonk Township Cemetery.
