El Paso - Carol F. Flesher, 85, of El Paso, formerly of Gridley, passed away at 6:20 p.m. on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Heritage Health Care in El Paso.
Her memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso with Pastor Grant Stauter officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Inurnment will be at Gridley Cemetery in Gridley. Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso is assisting the family with arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Jenny Etcheson Scholarship Fund for Nursing or to Gridley Emergency Medical Services.
Carol was born August 14, 1932 in Gridley, a daughter to Charles F. and Lucinda Wilson Hoobler. She married Clarence Raymond Flesher on November 19, 1951 in Gridley. He preceded her in death in 1983.
Surviving are her children, Robert C. Flesher of Gridley, Berdena Flesher of Hilo, Hawaii, Herb (Sharon) Flesher of Gridley, and Ed (Holly) Flesher of Gridley; son-in-law, Jerry Etcheson of Gridley; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a sister, Vera Brady of El Paso.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two daughters, Jenny Etcheson and Carol Rae Flesher, and one son, Jeff Flesher.
Carol was a member of Christ Community Church in Gridley and the Gridley Emergency Medical Services. She worked for the Gridley Telephone Company for over 50 years.
