EL PASO- Betty L. Swope, 81, of El Paso, died at 3:30 AM on Monday July 21, 2014 at Heritage Manor Care in El Paso.
She was born on October 18, 1932 in Cayuga, IL, a daughter of the late Orville and Bessy Murray Hendershot. She married Ivan R. Miller in 1953 and he preceded her in death in 1965. She then married Frank L. Swope in Gridley in 1973. Frank died in 1989.
Surviving are her children, Bob Miller, El Paso, Linda (Randy) Slagel, Secor; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; 3 sisters; and 7 step-children.
She was preceded in death by 2 children, Vickie Barnard, and Larry Miller; 4 sisters; 2 brothers, and a step-daughter, Susan.
Betty had loved to fish and camp in years past. She enjoyed doing puzzles for hours and spending time with her family.
Cremation will be accorded and burial of cremains will be at a later date. Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso is assisting the family.
