Bernice Louise Anderson, 93, of Minonk, passed away at 10:22 p.m., Thursday, May 10, 2018 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.
She was born July 24, 1924 in Minonk to Frederick and Katie (Timmerman) Von Behren.
She married Quinton C. Anderson on March 6, 1945 in Spokane, Washington.
Surviving are her children: one son James (Kitty) Anderson of Washburn; two daughters Linda Muzzy and Jayne Harms both of Minonk; seven grandchildren Matthew Anderson, Craig Anderson and Kevin Anderson, Donald Muzzy Jr., Jennifer (Chris) Froman, Kimberly Cook, Nathan Cook; and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers William, Delbert and Donald; two sisters Adalia Pescitelli and Helen Kemnitz; and one granddaughter Melissa Knoll.
Bernice worked as a lining trimmer for more than 50 years at Toluca Garment Factory retiring in 2004. She was a member and regular donor of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Minonk. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and sewing, jigsaw pluzzles and being out in her own yard gardening. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, especially the babies.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Minonk Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m., at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Minonk.
Memorials made in Bernice's name may be made to St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Minonk.
