Bloomington - Virginia Mae Cotton,
89, of Bloomington, passed away at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, March
22, 2014 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal due to heart
failure, while surrounded by family members.
Her visitation will be held from
12:30-1:30 pm. on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman
Memorial Home, 1104 N. Main St, Bloomington. A graveside service
will follow at 2 p.m. at Park Hill Cemetery in Bloomington.
Memorials may be made to The
American Heart Association.
Virginia was born on September 12,
1924 in Bloomington, a daughter to Lawrence and Augusta Schroeder
DeVary. She married Cecil Cotton on April 2, 1943 in
Bloomington. He preceded her in death in 1997.
Survivors are, a daughter, Patricia
Garrison of Bloomington; three sons, Edward Cotton of Las Vegas,
NV, Jim Cotton of Normal and Larry Cotton of Galt, CA; 8
grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and one great great
grandchild.
In addition to her parents and her
husband Cecil, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Peter
Riley.
Virginia was a loving wife, mother,
grandparent and great grandparent. She placed family above
all else.
