Roger "Bud" Tucker, 87, of Minonk, died at 4:50 p.m., Thursday, December 3, 2015 at his home following an ongoing illness.
He leaves behind his wife Winnie (Snyder) Tucker of Minonk, his two sons Timothy (Marshia) Tucker of Beebe, AR and Duane Tucker of Minonk and several nieces, nephews and friends.
He was born in Streator, IL, on June 25, 1928, the son of Roger and Lina (Barth) Tucker. He was a life- long resident of Minonk. After graduating from Minonk High School in 1946, He began farming and was owner of Tucker Sales and Service. He also served as Woodford County Deputy under Sheriff George Tofler. He's been married to Winnie Snyder for over 50 years marrying on December 12, 1953 in Peoria.
Roger served in the Air National Guard, stationed in Peoria, from 1950 to 1956.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Emma Jean Tucker (Donnelly) and a daughter Kathy Jean Tucker.
Bud took pride in his business making many friends along the way. He loved and is loved by those who were in his life. He touched the lives of many and will forever be missed.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m., Monday, December 7, 2015 at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Minonk. A private graveside will be held at a later date. His final resting place will be in Minonk Township Cemetery.
