Flanagan - Myron L. ‘Mike' Durre, 88, of Flanagan, passed away at: 2:28 a.m. on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.
A graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 11, 2019 at Center Cemetery in Flanagan with Full Military Honors. Pastor Matt Shields will officiate.
Memorials may be directed to Flanagan American Legion. Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Minonk is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mike was born on October 9, 1930 in Bloomington, Illinois, to Albert and Hattie Yordy Durre. He married the love of his life, Marie Mannott on December 8, 1961 in Flanagan. She passed away on December 20, 2012.
Surviving are his children, Debbie Weber of Bradenton, Fl and Geary Durre; granddaughters, Jennifer (Benjamin) Watkins of Normal and Amy Weber of Bradenton, Fl; great granddaughters, Abigail and Aubrey Weber.
He was preceded in death by five brothers; five sisters and one granddaughter.
Mike proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was employed for many years as a heavy machinery operator in Flanagan.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Flanagan.
