Joseph L. Ketchmark




Minonk-Joseph L. Ketchmark, 93, of Minonk, IL passed away at
5:35a.m. on Monday, April 21, 2014 at Northwest Community Hospital
in Arlington Heights, IL.


He was born on April 26, 1920 in Minonk, IL a
son of Steve and Mary Smokergeski Ketchmark.  He married Jean
Meils on August 23, 1941in Joliet, IL. She passed away on August 3,
2008.


Survivors also include two daughters, Jill
Goodwin of Highland, IN; Janan (Ed) Cheskis of Riverwoods, IL; two
sisters, Jean Barth of Minonk, IL; Herbie of Indiana; four
grandsons, Mike Goodwin, Matt Goodwin, Jay Cheskis, Ben Cheskis;
two great grandchildren, Andrew Goodwin and Catherine Goodwin.


He was preceded in death by his parents, 8
brothers and sisters.


Joseph worked at the Pontiac Prison for at
least 25 years.


Joseph was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic
Church in Minonk and American Legion.


He proudly served his country in the United
States Army during WWII.


Graveside services will be held at
11:00a.m.on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Minonk Township Cemetery
where military rites will be accorded at the grave. Franciscan
Friars will officiate.There will be no visitation. Ruestman-Harris
Funeral Home in Minonk is handling arrangements.
