Born Gregory Alan Morris on March 7, 1966 in Bloomington IL to Les and Linda (Geske) Morris. He married Darlene Thomas on October 5, 1996 in Congerville, IL.

She survives, along with one sister, Jenny (Brent) Henkel of El Paso, IL as well as two additional brother-in-laws, Robert (Alyshia) Thomas, Atlanta IL and John (Tina) Thomas, Bloomington IL. As well as seven nieces and nephews: Abe and Kate Henkel of El Paso, Hannah and Jacob Thomas of Atlanta, IL and Taylor, Clayton and Corinna Thomas of Bloomington IL. He is also survived by his special Aunt Faye aka Carolyn (Clarence) Buck of El Paso. As well as his German shepherd, Abby and the pesky cats Ra & Thor.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Les in 2008 and Linda in 2014 as well as his paternal and maternal grandparents. His beloved dogs Heidi and Ashley and his cats Rosie, Hotlips & Hawkeye.

He was a 1984 graduate of El Paso High School and a 1985 graduate of Wyoming Tech, Laramie, WY with a certificate degree in Diesel Technology. He was a mechanic for over 30 years and was employed by Frito-Lay Heartland Region for the past 17 years, and was currently their Lead Mechanic.

He lived in the country all of his life and enjoyed working with Livestock, first with Brown Swiss Dairy Cattle and Angus Beef Cattle, and then with Toggenburg Dairy Goats. He participated in 4H and FFA in his youth and was a member of the American Dairy Goat Association for the past 24 years and had served on their Board of Directors and chaired their National Dairy Goat Show in past years.

He often spent his vacation time attending dairy goat shows, at first with his sister, then his wife and eventually with his niece and nephew, Kate and Abe. He enjoyed spending time with his immediate family and often helped his brother-in-law Brent with any mechanical issues on the farm.

He loved to tinker on anything mechanical and could take it apart and put it back together without any notes or diagrams. He also loved anything John Deere, the St. Louis Cardinals and NASCAR's Dale Earnhardt Sr.

He spoke his mind, but had a kind heart and soul and a crazy sense of humor. He will be greatly missed. He loved Apples, especially fried apples and apple pie. Greg's attire was always simple; he loved to wear his favorite polo shirt in red or black with blue jeans, he would be honored if you wore his favorites.
