Floyd Bashford


Floyd Lee Bashford, 69, of El Paso, IL passed away
at 10:00 am on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at his
residence.


He was a member of the Salem Church in
rural Gridley where his funeral will be held at 12:00 pm on
Wednesday, October 30.  Rev. Stuart Rex will officiate.
Visitation will be held from 10-12 pm before the service.
Cremation rites will be accorded.  Ruestman-Harris Funeral
Home in El Paso is assisting the family with their
arrangements.


Memorials may be made to Salem Church or the Spare
and Share in Gridley.


Floyd was born on June 2, 1944 in Fairbury, IL the
son of Frederick and Verna Paddock Bashford.  He married
Brigitte Zink on August 25, 1990 in El Paso.  She
survives.


Also surviving are his children, Steve (Heidi)
Bashford of Fairbury, IL; Gary (Normalynne) Bashford of Fairbury,
IL ; Angelika (Ray) Powell of Bloomington, IL; Thomas (Tina)
McCormick of El Paso, IL; Erick (Kim) McCormick of Cumming, IA;
Diana (Jeff) Lindenbaum of Mansfield, IL; Brian (Amanda) McCormick
of Metamora, IL; sixteen grandchildren, and three
great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents.


Floyd had worked as an electrician for American
Buildings Company. He was a member of the Mended Hearts Association
and the National Rifle Association.
